Our Technology
Human tissues are built on a structure called the extra-cellular matrix (ECM), the non-cellular component present within all tissues and organs. It provides essential physical scaffolding for cells and interacts in multiple aspects of tissue regeneration. Tissue regenerative science is largely about creating a structure that can effectively mimic the tissue-specific functions of the natural ECM.
Our proprietary nanofiber extrusion process allows us to obtain a uniform, biocompatible, complex and highly porous 3-D nanofiber scaffold of selected biopolymers from a liquid solution. The resulting patch, which is flexible and transparent, can be used where tissue regeneration is required.
The process can be applied to a wide range of biopolymer solutions and can be manufactured in a wide range of shapes and sizes, allowing applications in regeneration of various tissue types, including cardiac muscle, dermis, etc.
